Our mission

Senthema exists to make deep learning accessible to every student—any background, any campus. We focus on accuracy, context, and community over hype.

We believe the best academic outcomes happen when students work together. AI should enhance that collaboration, not replace it.

02

How we started

Senthema began as a weekend project helping a group of CUNY students summarize lectures and stay on top of assignments across part-time jobs.

What launched as automation for tedious study tasks has grown into a shared operating system for education teams and study groups worldwide.

03

Guiding principles

  • Accuracy-first. We prioritize trusted sources and cite our outputs.
  • Human-centered. AI augments study habits but never removes human agency.
  • Inclusive design. Senthema adapts to different learning styles and accessibility needs.
04

Team & advisors

Our team includes researchers, educators, and engineers from public universities and edtech startups. We partner with professors and learning designers who stress-test every release.

05

Responsible AI

We vet AI providers, anonymize prompts where possible, and give every user control over storage and deletion. Audits run continuously to detect bias or hallucinations.

See our AI policy for model disclosures, evaluation benchmarks, and escalation paths.

06

Community impact

Senthema sponsors student-led study nights, open syllabus projects, and community college pilot programs. We offer scholarships to first-gen students building peer-led tutoring networks.
