Terms of Service

1. Acceptance
By accessing or using Senthema (the "Service") you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. The Service
Senthema lets you upload or reference study materials (documents, web links, YouTube videos) and generate AI-assisted quizzes, flashcards, notes, solutions, and written explanations.
3. Accounts
You must provide accurate information. You are responsible for actions taken under your credentials. Notify us of unauthorized access.
4. Membership & Usage Limits
Free and paid tiers include daily AI generation limits (e.g., quizzes, flashcards, solver, writer). Limits may evolve with notice. Attempts to bypass limits may result in suspension.
5. User Content
"User Content" includes documents, transcripts, text prompts, space settings, generated service items, and any material you submit. You retain ownership. You grant us a non-exclusive, revocable, worldwide license to store, process, transform, and display User Content solely to operate and improve the Service features you use.
You represent you have rights to the content and it does not infringe or violate law or third-party rights.
6. AI Output
AI-generated content may be inaccurate. Do not rely on outputs for medical, legal, financial, or other high-risk decisions. You are responsible for verifying results before academic submission or sharing.
7. Acceptable Use
- No unlawful, infringing, hateful, harassing, or sexually explicit content.
- No attempts to reverse engineer, overload, or bypass security/usage caps.
- No malware or harmful code.
- No academic dishonesty where prohibited by your institution.
8. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with OpenAI (generation), YouTube (metadata), Cloudinary (media), and hosting infrastructure. Their terms apply to their respective components.
9. Intellectual Property
Except for your User Content, all platform code, design, and branding are owned by us or licensors. No rights are granted beyond necessary usage.
10. Feedback
Suggestions or feedback may be used without obligation or attribution.
11. Suspension & Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts for policy violations, legal risk, inactivity, or feature deprecation. You may delete your account (or request deletion) at any time.
12. Changes to the Service
Features may change or be discontinued. For material adverse changes to paid plans, we will provide notice and applicable pro-rata remedies as required by law.
13. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR MERCHANTABILITY. AI OUTPUTS ARE PROBABILISTIC AND MAY CONTAIN ERRORS.
14. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED: (a) WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES; (b) TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF AMOUNTS PAID IN THE PRIOR 3 MONTHS OR USD $50.
15. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify us against claims arising from your User Content or breach of these Terms.
16. Export & Compliance
You agree to comply with applicable export and sanctions regulations.
17. Governing Law
Governed by the laws of the jurisdiction identified in the footer or contact page (excluding conflicts rules). Venue resides there.
18. Severability
If a provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect.
19. Waiver
Failure to enforce a term is not a waiver of future enforcement.
20. Entire Agreement
These Terms plus the Privacy Policy comprise the entire agreement.
